Full mouth reconstruction

This gentleman looked like a different person after his extensively worn teeth were restored using tooth-coloured build-up material for the lower front teeth and crown/bridgework for the upper front teeth together with ultra natural-looking upper and lower dentures.

Here is an example of improving the appearance of a tooth with an old Amalgam (silver) filling by replacing it with a tooth-coloured filling. At the same time, the same material was used to repair a worn defect on the tip of the outer cusp of the tooth. No further destruction of healthy tooth tissue is necessary with these modern materials and techniques which is great news for the patient and the dentist!

Facial Aesthetics

This photo shows the impressive result of the use of Botox in the treatment of deep horizontal lines on the forehead. The Botox prevents the contraction of the frontalis muscle fibres which are responsible for the creasing action of the skin in this area. Gradually over the months of muscle inactivity following Botox treatment, the lines fade and eventually disappear.

Here, the original teeth were damaged by acid erosion of the enamel from daily diet Coca-Cola drinking, abrasion near the gum margins by vigorous tooth brushing with poor technique, plus a grinding habit which had shortened and flattened the incisal edges of the front teeth. All 6 top front teeth were restored with crowns made from the latest porcelain material. The result was a spectacular improvement in the patient’s appearance which also took at least 5 years off her age.
